Ralph N. Sargent III, President Ralph N. Sargent III received his B.A. in radio, television
and motion pictures from the University of North Carolina,
Chapel Hill in 1964. He earned his M.A. in motion pictures
from the University of California, Los Angeles and joined
the technical staff of the Motion Picture Division of UCLA
following graduation in 1965. In 1968 he was appointed a
lecturer at UCLA teaching both technical and production courses.
Sargent left UCLA to form Film Technology Co., Inc. in 1971.
Sargent is the author of "Preserving the Moving Image" published
by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Corporation for
Public Broadcasting in 1974.
